Fluid Compatibility
Below Table shows the compatibility rating of the most commonly used seal materials groups with the fluid groups and materials, classified according to international standard ISO 6743-4.
Important comments:
1. Actual testing should be considered to determine the compatibility of the material in the fluid and application. Result may vary significantly due to other operating conditions, including but not limited to temperature, concentration, mixtures, etc.
2. In case of filled PTFE compounds, compatibility of filler must be considered separately.
Legend:
E Excellent – No chemical effect
G Good – Minor chemical effect
L Limted – Moderate effect
NS Not Suggested – Severe effect
